Other Characters: Peter Parker (
Interests: I still love Dragon Age and I love Dragon Age as a setting for an RP game. I love action scenes and network posts of all kinds (but especially of the shitposting variety) and I love the potential for so many different kinds of plots, adventures, and character relationships and developments.
I love the politics and the gray morality that permeates throughout the series, especially with regards to difficult choices and the consequences for those choices.

History
Personality
Religion is complicated; she is faithful, likes and often prays to Andraste, particularly in times of trouble, and she likes finding space for solitude and contemplation. But she also strongly dislikes a lot of the history of the Chantry, especially the violence and bloodshed against her people, even though she also struggles with being an Elf. Still, she believes in the Chantry and believes it can be changed through reform for the better. But she also has a carved wooden Halla figurine, a gift from her brother, that she keeps with her all the time.
Aurora is a Romantic (with a capital R), a trait she’s nurtured since she was a young child. She’s always loved stories of heroes and legends. (And she tries not to let it bother her that so many of these stories and legends are of humans.) She craves adventure and excitement, and getting to be the Hero Who Saves the Day. Her fascination with heroes eventually leads her to the Grey Wardens, joining eagerly with the belief that she’ll be able to save and/or change the world for the better. (And to finally get the chance to see the world beyond what she’s known.)
Despite her inner turmoil, Aurora is a cheerful young woman who is personable and a very capable social creature, though she does tend to talk a lot. She enjoys a good, spirited debate.
She is sheltered and naïve; having spent so long in the Circle, buried in her studies and books, Aurora thinks that if she can just keep treading water, she won’t ever drown. At the same time, having observed the Game during her time in the Circle, Aurora, while naïve, knows her way around the complicated nuances of Orlesian politics and knows enough to keep herself from becoming any more entangled in politics than she has to. That the Grey Wardens are supposed to be politically neutral is another reason she’s drawn to them.
She has a temper when provoked and she can act recklessly; she especially enjoys the element of fire and
Opinions & Affiliations
The Qun: No. She would rather run off and join the Dalish and/or leave to go on her Calling early.
The Chantry: Complicated. She considers herself Andrastian but knows the Chantry has a complicated and violent history. She believes that the Chantry can be reformed for the better.
Templars: Necessary. It would be foolish to get rid of an order of warriors trained to fight magic, in the same way it would be foolish to get rid of the Grey Wardens.
Mages vs. Templars: A headache she would rather not think about. She believes mistakes were made on both sides.
Grey Wardens: They are heroes and they can do no wrong, obviously. Discounting all those other times they’ve done wrong, which were obviously for the greater good.
Alienage/City Elves: Complicated. She misses the stories and playing with her friends, but as she grew up in the Circle, she grew more distant from her heritage. She’s grateful she will never have to deal with an arranged marriage, thank the Maker.
The Dalish: They feel like myths to her, and she is curious about them. She also resents them from living apart and not helping as other Elves suffer, and for also drawing Elves to them. Her love of stories and Romantic nature, however, keeps her curious despite the rest of her feelings.
The Game: Having studied at the Circle of Montsimmard, Aurora witnessed the intricacies of The Game of Orlais up close. She knows how to navigate The Game and she finds parts of it fascinating (the insults disguised as compliments, the trying to connive for status and power, etc.) but she doesn’t love the whole violence and murder aspect of it. As someone who loves stories she does have a fondness for Bards and tales.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Aurora’s most obvious weakness is the fact that she is a mage Warden who is vulnerable to control by Corypheus. As much as she romanticizes the Wardens, she is very aware of this fact, and she wants to avoid being a liability as much as she can. She still wants to work in the Forces division and fight on the frontlines as much as she can and as much as Riftwatch will let her.
Having experienced life in the Circle of Montisimmard, Aurora knows how to navigate Orlesian politics, particularly the Game. She will be glad to advise and share her experience with Riftwatch.
As a mage, Aurora is especially skilled at elemental magic, especially fire magic, which is her favorite element. Immolate is her favorite spell and she has an enthusiasm for setting things on fire. Despite this, she is cautious and knows how to set and maintain a decent Barrier.
Inventory
Please list any notable objects your character will be bringing with them. This doesn't have to be exhaustive, but weapons, magical objects, and items with plot importance must be listed if you plan to use them in the game.
Motivation
What brings your character to Riftwatch? This can be as brief as "he's got a sliver of weird magic in his hand he'd like Riftwatch to deal with" or "he wants to help," though more complex reasons are welcome, and shouldn't be more than 200 words.
SAMPLES
Please provide 2 samples. It doesn't matter if they're written or linked and we don't care if you prefer brackets or normal punctuation, but at least one of your samples must take place in the game world, and at least one must be a log rather than network tags (or their setting-appropriate equivalent). They can be of any length, as long as taken together they provide a good sense of your character and your writing ability. If we feel they aren't sufficient, we'll ask you for more.
